PROs- Food, Drink, Culture, Sites, Octoberfest. CONS- Weather, Winter, Euro, VD. Work is same as day to day. After is when you need to explore in a safe way. Always take friends and be respectful. If you meet the Bundespolizei (aka Police) be very respectful. If not they have a wonderful ability to beat you with a night stick like Nikki Stix! Just do the right thing. Be an adult and have fun. If you go to kaiserslautern go to chucks dinner. It's an retired Airforce Sgt owned bar and drink a Cola-Vixen for me. DO NOT LITTER!!!! Refer to Nikki Stix quote. On Sunday most things are closed off post intill late. But if you go downtown on Sunday you will see the most amazing Army of cleaning people that clean all day. Which includes Streets, buildings, everything. Take the Rein river tour from USO. Enjoy and use your head! The kicker when stationed in Germany are the travel opportunities and the cultural experience when off duty, AMAZING!
