SGT Private RallyPoint Member 6892809 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>So I need options. I’ve been in 13 years have 2 left on my contract. I’m in the Arkansas national guard. Do to an injury not duty related I’ve gotten a permanent profile. After the PHA they said since I only have 2 more years left on my contract I can just finish it out and not reup. Honestly I lose money going to drill I don’t take advantage of any of the benefits I’d rather just be done now. I don’t really want to continue to drill and hold a 5 slot for 2 years waiting it out. What are my options I’m already looking at taking a demotion to free my slot up for someone who is waiting on it but is the IRR an option. How long does medical separation take. Do I still have to drill while going threw the medical separation period. I had all intentions of retirement and now that it’s not an option I have no motivation to even be there much less be there and not be able to do anything. What are my options to get out of the guard in the middle of a contract? 2021-04-10T21:52:23-04:00 SGT Private RallyPoint Member 6892809 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>So I need options. Usually it takes a while.<br /><br />Best of luck Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 11 at 2021 11:05 PM 2021-04-11T23:05:56-04:00 2021-04-11T23:05:56-04:00 2021-04-10T21:52:23-04:00
