Don't bother wasting your time trying to think of an accurate ballpark. It will drive you batty.

Remember, you have your GI bill. Depending on your rating, you'll have access to VR&E. Your state or record might have programs specifically for vets as well that you might want to look into. Again, without more info, it's difficult to say what you may have to look forward to.Response by SGT Joseph Gunderson made Dec 8 at 2020 10:16 PM2020-12-08T22:16:48-05:002020-12-08T22:16:48-05:00MAJ Ken Landgren6564123

Go to this site. The combat weight of support MOS is nowhere near as heavy as a Fisters working combat load with ruck. You can still MEB at a later date if you need to. That is, if you want to stay active.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 8 at 2020 10:39 PM2020-12-08T22:39:16-05:002020-12-08T22:39:16-05:00SSgt Christophe Murphy6566506

Ok, so the MEB breaks it down like this.

You will be screened for all of your bangs and bruises but the star of the show will be what put you on the MEB. You will get results and percentages for everything but the percentage for the main injury that resulted in the MEB will be the one that dictates whether it is separation or medical retirement.

I'm not sure what you mean by "what training is out there?"
You don't train for an MEB so I don't understand where you are driving on that one.

If you can't train and you can't do the job it sounds like you need to move forward. Nobody can make the decision for you if you want to get surgery. I opted for surgery when I had knee issues and ended up getting Med boarded but the findings of the surgeries ended up helping my cause in the long run.Response by SSgt Christophe Murphy made Dec 9 at 2020 6:05 PM2020-12-09T18:05:39-05:002020-12-09T18:05:39-05:002020-12-08T21:49:36-05:00
