SPC Private RallyPoint Member6790999<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>So let me begin by saying that from everything that I read, IET time (Basic and AIT) does not count towards the active duty time as it relates to the Post 9/11 GI Bill. This boggles my mind considering my IET is 1/6th of my entire contract. So I want to know if there is anyway that I can count that time in order to maximize my GI Bill. I am a reservist and have 3 months in Basic, 11 months in AIT, 11 months on ADOS orders, and 11 months total on deployment(or I will once I have returned). This means that I am right at 36 months of active duty time and yet can only claim 22 months towards my GI Bill. Is there anyway that this is not true or a way to claim part of it. Any help is appreciated. What are my options for maximizing the GI Bill considering that 14 months of my active duty time is IET?2021-03-03T06:34:03-05:00SPC Private RallyPoint Member6790999<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>So let me begin by saying that from everything that I read, IET time (Basic and AIT) does not count towards the active duty time as it relates to the Post 9/11 GI Bill.
