1. Complete mismanagement of the Pandemic planning.

adequate..adequate.. i know its not what you asked for...but last year this time..we all were so ready to put 2020 behind "nothing could be worse than 2020" with the quarentines and masks, empty store shelves and lock downs ...but in 2021 my mother passed ,my father in law passed and my daughter in law's father passed...jobs have dissapeared and are gone forever, gas is close to 3.50, and prices are going up so fast at the grocery store i cannot keep track ...I am not giving 2022 the opportunity to say "hold my beer"....2021 has been "adequate"..and I hope is that 2022 will be "adequate"...

2021: Life is passing me by; 2022: Making up for lost time.

At age 69, age I rarely ever admit to, I realize I've lived almost as long as I'm destined to live. To live out my life expectancy, tho, I've lived in virtual isolation these last 33 months--mostly because of pandemic, but also because of such a limited income. Good news is, income became so limited because V.A. helped me secure Section 8 (low-income housing), but there were times I had to make choices in order to afford other necessities.

I thank God for giving me preparation for living on meager benefits I was able to acquire after my husband's death. Thanks to Him, I was able to hang in the 2 yrs I had to wait before I became eligible for widow's benefits from my ex's Social Security instead of my husband's survivor benefits; now, in addition to receiving my earned benefits, I'm collecting on 17 yrs invested in "abusive" (verbal, emotional, financial) marriage before ex decided to desert me--as I was about to be evicted.

Income has increased by 2.5 times, making it possible for me to make up for lost time. I was able to give my offspring a Christmas this yr that I couldn't give them as children; & I'm focused on getting my own house to live out my final yrs in. I'm also looking forward to finding documentation that will prove shouldn't have died non-service connected.
