Simply put...all lives matter. What I don't like it the media and groups getting on TV and spreading lies to promote their own agenda. There are some who want their to be a racial divide for profit.

PFC Private RallyPoint Member - It's far too easy to play the "Race Card." At some point, we'll become desensitized to the issue(s). To date, no particular race has yet to monopolize stupidity. Racism is merely a symptom. Within the absence of both respect and self-respect lies the cause.

Groups certainly have a right to protest what they feel is unjust treatment. AT issue for BLM is when is it correct for police to use deadly force, and why does it seem (to them) that it tends to target African-Americans? Certainly, those are valid concerns and issues. What is bothersome to me is that the facts of individual cases do not seem to matter to BLM; they'd rather just raise hell and shout about "epidemics" and "runaway racism" among police. Again, angry people do not tend to make rational arguments, but rather emotional ones.
This is not unusual among protest movements. Occupy Wall Street and Code Pink come immediately to mind.
What irritates me about BLM is their tactics. To get attention, they block the freeway, turn up at malls two days before Christmas, disrupt state fairs, and bully if not outright attack people who do not agree with them. In more extreme cases, looting and vandalism has broken out as well. This does not further their cause, and only makes them look bad. If you have a grudge, go after those who gored your ox, not innocent passers-by going about their business.

In my opinion, BLM started as a organized way to protest and have their voiced heard about police violence. Fast forward a month or two, the peacful protests are hijacked by people that want to harm amd cause damage. It is very hard to fully point a finger at any specific group, because you always will have those few that will or try to ruin things for the whole group.

People should be able to protest and speak their minds. This stops when their actions become a danger to others. On an individual basis, the violence needs to be addressed.

It's racial! Anyone who uses color as a distinction for action is the biggest racist in the room. At the same time that Michael Brown was killed in Ferguson, Mo. Where I live, a 4-yr-old black girl was killed in her bed. She was collateral damage from a drive by shooting. The individuals in the car are black. I have no doubt in my mind that Michael Brown is a bag o phallics, I can't say whether the officer was just in shooting him. What I can say with all certainty, is that the little girl was innocent and did not deserve this from anyone. There was no uproar from the black community about this girls death. Unfortunately, there wasn't an uproar from ANY community.

There are more whites killed by police every year in the US than blacks. I don't have a problem prosecuting police officers that use excessive force. They are supposed to be highly trained, and capable of making the right choice. I also understand that they are also human.

Having Federal oversight of a police dept, or body cams will not lower the crime rate in a predominantly black community. but, all of the angry protesters doing the right things can.

Good people are being misled. New Black Panthers have been labeled a Hate Group by the liberal group Southern Poverty Law Center. They have vowed to attend the Republican Convention and will be armed. How can they get a pass on hate speech for saying "kill all whites" but white groups don't? (I'm not saying that any should, it's just baffling to me) I believe that officers should be held accountable to justify deadly force. Officer Involved shootings should be investigated by an independent agency. However, groups that loot burn and wound/injure others have nothing but anarchy on their mind. It has nothing to do with seeking justice for a shooting.

#AllLivesMatter is not and was not a call for unity. It is something that was designed and used as a way to undervalue, underestimate and marginalize the black experiences, or African-American experiences, regarding injustices at the hands of corrupt and poorly trained cops, as well as a justice systems that does the same thing. If you say all lives matter and/or blue lives matter, but you don't understand or want to say black lives matter, then perhaps you have an issue with #BlackLivesMatter, but because it's about black people...

My thoughts, There is a real issue with police that needs to be addressed, so, I agree with reforms. What I think about BLM is it has been hijacked by those who sole intent is to create strife and unrest in order to destabilize the United States.
