And I felt a bit weird just for that fact the their was time I was kinna lost and I was asking the guys in my squad for help or what should I do or help with it most just walk away, n where to find them or toll me they don’t know what’s happen. I get it I know I has to find my own way and learn everything in a way on my Own but I don’t want them to think I’m just another lazy sack. I’m the only private everyone else is a specialistWhat advice would you give to a new Private who just arrived at their first unit?2019-09-06T18:44:41-04:00SPC Private RallyPoint Member4999055<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I just got to my unit this week. Second you still post questions for answers. That’s how you learn. Keep it up. The right mentor will come alone to show you. Those E-4s you speak of may wear the tank BUT it takes more than rank to be the rank. Keep studying and asking questions and remember you are not limited to ONLY the guys in your unit. The service is a brotherhood. Good luck.Response by SFC Jamie McNeill made Sep 6 at 2019 8:56 PM2019-09-06T20:56:41-04:002019-09-06T20:56:41-04:00PVT Private RallyPoint Member5000797<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>So First I just want to let you know that what you’re feeling is completely normal. I went through the same things when I arrived to my first unit. I was PV2 and everyone else was specialist and above. I took a few months for that isolation feeling to dissipate. My advice is to try to find someone you trust to help you adjust easier. The friends you make in the military will be the closest friends you’ll ever have in life. You all are united for a purpose and everyone wants to see you do well. Keep up the good work Response by PVT Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 7 at 2019 11:41 AM2019-09-07T11:41:07-04:002019-09-07T11:41:07-04:00SGT(P) Private RallyPoint Member5002382<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Dont fall into the drama or sham that u see with others that might be around u remember why u enlisted and drive on.
