Get out on the weekends and explore. You have Destine Florida, New Orleans, Tupelo (Home of Elvis Presley), Alabama and numerous other places you can visit. Ocean Springs is beautiful too. Enjoy your tour. No on post housing, the closest town is Hattiesburg about 15 minutes north. Limited services on post, although Keesler Air Force Base about 45 miles south has an MTF and commissary. It’s a National Guard post so it’s pretty empty during the week and overcrowded on weekends and summertime SFC Private RallyPoint Member Tue, 22 Jan 2019 12:11:30 -0500 2019-01-22T12:11:30-05:00 Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 7 at 2020 12:55 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-advice-do-you-have-for-someone-headed-to-camp-shelby-to-become-an-oc-trainer?n=5529600&urlhash=5529600 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Is it hard SSG Private RallyPoint Member Fri, 07 Feb 2020 00:55:56 -0500 2020-02-07T00:55:56-05:00 Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 9 at 2021 7:34 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-advice-do-you-have-for-someone-headed-to-camp-shelby-to-become-an-oc-trainer?n=7361178&urlhash=7361178 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I have the same questions SSG Private RallyPoint Member Tue, 09 Nov 2021 19:34:10 -0500 2021-11-09T19:34:10-05:00 2019-01-21T11:18:44-05:00
