I was probably anxious, before I deployed to Germany; during the Cold War.
Once I got to Permanent Party; I was scared and depressed.

SPC Margaret Higgins Never nervous, not once fearful. I got excited and looked forward to every movement. Dragging my bag across the tarmac meant we were doing what we trained for. There were a couple missions where we were told to make out our Last Wills just in case.Those were the best.
