Schools in Palestine and most islamic dominated nations dropped any reference to the holocaust decades ago Sgt Kelli Mays. You may remember the fuss when several islamic nation leaders mentioned that their maps do not include the nation of Israel.
Because the school textbooks process is dominated by California and Texas until those states become muslim majority the textbooks themselves will not completely ignore the holocaust :-)
However, there each school district determines what will actually be covered and emphasized. in the classroom teaching, homework assignments, and tests - excluding state mandated tests.
Expect in areas where muslims are the majority or Aryan Nation and similar neo-nazi dominated school districts that the holocaust will be ignored or treated as a zionist initiated urban legend. :-)

At this stories most honest it is misleading, it is talking about the UK. There is no "Department of Education and Skills" in the United States, that is in the UK. The GCSE is a high school diploma in Wales, England, and Ireland, so removing it from the GCSE curriculum will result in nothing in the US. All news organizations (Liberal & Conservative) are terrible at reporting studies, so I have hard time taking this at face value, even once you sift through the obvious bullshit.

The fact is... Islamic nations in WW2 was part of the Nazi allies, and not enough people talk about it. Now, after know this fact ... Does that explain why they feel offended by "holocaust"?
