We've had three days of President Trump's executive order blitzkrieg. Is his approach designed to overwhelm the Media's response time?

It seems to me that President Trump is using high-speed maneuver politics to smash the three-day media cycle, thereby preventing his opponents (media and political) from targeting any individual action. As an example, on the day he was working on the EPA, pipeline construction, and the auto industry, the press was still talking about attendance at the inauguration.

Well I like it that he's following through with his promises to get things done. He also said after he gave his approval to continue the Keystone Pipeline and the Canadian North Dakota pipeline that there is no reason in the world that the pipe for those two lines shouldn't come from American companies and be manufactured in the U.S.

No I think it's just that America has forgotten what hard work looks like when it comes from an elected (or appointed) government official.

Besides, he has a lot of work to do-- 8 years worth of voiding despotic Executive Orders designed to cripple this country.

I think he's just working hard and fast because that's what he does. I think he's run circles around the media (which is driving them nuts, it's quite entertaining to see), and doesn't think he has to do anything one way or another to appease or deal with them in any manner.

I don't expect to agree 100% or disagree 100% with any presidents decisions. I simply respect the fact that the president was elected and if I don't like what has been done, I make sure that my elected officials get my opinion, and I strive to vote appropriately in the next election. Some decisions I disagree with, and some I am in favor of, but I do take the time to consider that my opinion isn't necessarily the right opinion. Reality is any opinion is right to certain people, and what makes my opinion more important than their opinion? Therefore while I have an opinion and will defend it vigorously, I won't try to suppress the opinions of others. I also strive not to force my opinions on others, but to help them to understand that they need to research and make their own opinions rather than having an opinion given to them and adopting it without adequate research.

I don't think about it that way... He is just working, while the focus is about an event that has passed. Whether this is a tactic or not, I can't tell.

Executive Actions are only good until the next president, unless confirmed by law. We (and hopefully Trump's people) learned from the previous administration, strike fast and let the roots grow deep.

Welcome to the real world where stuff gets done! Pres Obama expanded the power of the executive (at the expense of the legislature) through executive orders. Pres Trump is taking full advantage of that expansion to press his agenda. He's working circles around the liberal press while artfully throwing out things like the inauguration numbers and investigating illegal voting to keep the press busy while he gets real work done. The more difficult part will be getting his legislative agenda through the Senate, but I'm betting he will make some deals to get all or most of what he wants on tax cuts, immigration, military rebuild, energy, and many other items. Even repeal and replace of ACA will happen, but the Dems will fight it through every means they can muster, but in the end they will fail.

President Trump has always been results driven, he does not sit on his hands. He is handling these issues like he would issues in his private businesses- swiftly. Best way to take out your opponent is to beat them to the punch. And it is also funny watching the media running around like keystone cops

Classic hypocritical responses. Executive orders in the absence of Congressional actions to do what the administration thought was best for the country was condemned by Conservatives as despotism. Similar actions by the GOP deemed as patriotism and true democratic leadership. I'm not against Trump's EOs because he's doing what he feels is best for America but the hypocrisy is unacceptable.

I've agreed with most of it all.

I think there is definately a media strategy involved. He's been a branding and marketing genius for years.

1. Discredit any opposing media. He has supporters - convince them his opinions matter more than others. Followers will follow.

2. Silence others in FED to the extent possible so his office can control the message directly.

3. Bombard with messages. Followers and opponents alike can't keep up with multiple messages and can't decipher which is action and which is 'ideas for show.'

4. Continue with duration over time so analysts and pundits and media have no ability to keep topics 'spicy' if another comes out quickly.

...many of his policies and ideas are great... but if you're all for / all against, ie you think the man is the best thing ever or the worst thing ever, you can't deny that a calculated media strategy has been effective through his campaign and first week...

MSgt James Mullis he said what he was going to do. Just looks like he is doing what he told the voters he would do if he was elected. Print out his contract to the American people and follow along. First 100 days is here and he is trying to make the most of it.
