But this one story tells me that we as a military need to rethink who we feel should be recognized to lead and train soldiers.A SSG who maltreated, assaulted, and pointed loaded weapons at his Soldiers on multiple occasions received a Field Grade Article 15 and was reduced to SGT and ordered to extra duty and restriction for 45 days. Now when you see something like this why keep this person a nco or even in the army if we are supposed to be fighting the enemy why should we have to worry about our brothers in arms threatening our own lives. I'm sure they weighed in those other factors as well. I witnessed numerous NJPs in my 10 years, many punishments of which I disagree on, whether too harsh or too lenient, but I also realized I didn't have all the facts.<br /><br />I believe this would most likely teach him a lesson or 2, especially in pointing weapons at others.
