This particular Mission was called "Pink Panther". The whole affair was quashed as a classified incident. Too PC to let out of the bag. Our unit was never the same in regards to that Psy-ops attack. I had to give it to the NVA, they were good. Never did see one in the hands of one of the bad guys either dead or alive.<br /><br />As an aside, late in my third tour we got a directive to stop referring to the dinks as dinks, gooks or any thing other than NVA or VC. Out in the woods they were still dinks until we had a dead one to ID as NVA or VC. Later at Bragg the word came down that legs would no longer be referred to as legs.
