The Pakistani military reportedly "cleared" Datta Khel. Then again, UBL was living right under their noses for years. Both of those stories make it kind of difficult to trust much of anything the Pakistani military says -- just from an outsider's otherwise uninformed viewpoint.

By coordinated effort, sir, do you mean coordinated with the Pakistanis?Response by CW5 Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 20 at 2014 11:59 PM2014-12-20T23:59:46-05:002014-12-20T23:59:46-05:00COL Ted Mc380217

The Pakistani government is about as reliable as $10.00 recaps. The ISI, on the other hand is 100% reliable - it is ALWAYS going to do what is in the best interests of the ISI and anyone who objects is likely to meet a rather abrupt termination of their career (sometimes permanently).

So, even if the strike was "co-ordinated" with the Pakistanis, one should always ask themselves "What do they think they are going to get out of co-operating with us?" [and one can always be certain that the answer is NOT going to be "Peace, Order, and Good Government" or "Freedom, Liberty, and Democracy"].Response by COL Ted Mc made Dec 21 at 2014 12:45 PM2014-12-21T12:45:09-05:002014-12-21T12:45:09-05:002014-12-20T19:40:36-05:00
