Was the Constitution generally created to protect you from human rights abuses? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/was-the-constitution-generally-created-to-protect-you-from-human-rights-abuses <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I find it interesting I had to learn about the Constitution the thing we swore an oath to defend, to learn I had any right at all, when reviewing all my military records and va records I was receiving. Over that 5 year process, I finally learned that the creation of the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, Human Rights, Civil Rights, Victims Rights, Patient Rights, Workers Rights, Women’s Rights etc etc etc all were created to protect each other. I find the Constitution amazing and the Founding Fathers amazing as well. It is simply a blueprint for a republican form of government with power distributed across three branches of government. The Bill of Rights is not a declaration of human rights. Human rights don&#39;t need a declaration. They simply are rights shared by all humans regardless of any differences. They were included as Amendments to the Constitution to serve as reminders to the government to not infringe on them. See, it&#39;s all very simple and the genius of the authors is found in that simplicity. Those who have lost their way and built a bloated government exercising more than the enumerated powers did so by making it overly complex. It was written in plain language for a reason, so that anyone could read and understand it. Sadly, we have allowed the lawyers to &quot;interpret&quot; it for us resulting in much the same problems as when lay people allow clergy to interpret holy scriptures for them. It gives the interpreter too much power... The Constitution was created to establish a governmental schematic. Separation of powers, delineated authorities and requirements, etc. The Bill of Rights, however, was creayed and included to protect against abuses.
