Was Carson right to have the VA disbanded?

Dr. Carson talked about disbanding the VA and starting over. I originally thought no, we don't have a viable alternative that would work immediately and help the vets in need now. Maybe I was wrong, and he was onto something. After reading this, I'm leaning his way. What do you think? I posted the picture of the President because the findings are going to his desk, and hard decisions need to be made.

I think that realistically, with only some small changes, the DoD can absorb the VA. It would probably save money overall, and also improve the level of care, both for Veterans and Active Duty/Dependents. Access to specialists would increase because the resources would be pooled instead of separated out.

There are definitely kinks to be worked out, but it could be done.

SSG Warren Swan, I don't think that it is a bad idea. The VA has had many issues from the top to the bottom and something needs to be done in-order to provide better support and resources to our nations Veterans.

The Veterans in urban areas might have many choices for doctors. The Vets in places like South Dakota would be in trouble. I currently see a chiropractor, which the VA pays for, they only reimburse to medicaid rates. How many private docs will take those rates? In NJ I had a buddy, when he was mobed, his wife had to drive his kid 35 miles to see a primary care doc, and 85 miles to see a specialist. All because Tricare is again, on the medicare reimbursement rate.

I think a lot more than the VA need to bee disbanded and allowed to start over from scratch. IRS, Congress, and many many more

The fox is guarding the hen house, their kingdom. It's obvious that some VA Centers are more concerned about fudging the truth than helping the veterans in a timely manner.
