Why did I not receive my disability pension compensation right after I was discharged from the Navy?

Yeah I have received it but only from August of 2022 why did I not receive it immediately after I was discharged because I was hospitalized while in the Navy and why didn’t they not go back to 1992 when I was discharged I applied but kept getting denied and I almost gave up on receiving it until my roommate gave me a little support in keeping going with it

I am making an assumption that you are referring to a VA Disability Claim and not a 'disability pension' from the military.

The answer MOST LIKELY is that you weren't appealing the denied claim. If you were appealing it than the original effective date would have been maintained (there are a few other uncommon exceptions). It sounds like you were creating new claims (or, at least, the last one that was submitted in August 2022 was a new claim) and that is why the effective date was in 2022.

I kinda understand that but I was hospitalized while in the military and I started my claim within a year after I was discharged it was sychizoeffective disorder with depression

I hate to tell you the va will not go back to 1992, I had a heart attack in 2005 due to agent orange still to this day the va denied my claim. Good luck
