Men have been told for ages never to hit a women, women have not been told the same.

2. Men are MUCH less likely to report the abuse because of stigma and shame. There isn't. Privilege is a misnomer. However, it is a descriptive term showing the reverse of an inherent disadvantage possessed by most others. "Male Privilege" describes a "Female Disadvantage." White privilege describes a Minority disadvantage.Response by Sgt Aaron Kennedy, MS made Oct 9 at 2015 8:33 PM2015-10-09T20:33:36-04:002015-10-09T20:33:36-04:00PO1 Kerry French1030374

Major eye roll... sheesh... this PC crap is entirely out of hand.Response by PO1 Kerry French made Oct 9 at 2015 10:33 PM2015-10-09T22:33:43-04:002015-10-09T22:33:43-04:00CPT Private RallyPoint Member1030484

Wow! So if this were true then how come I got stuck as an E-6 for almost 18 years? How come I struggled with retiring from the Navy and getting a great job? I allegedly have all of this privilege and I didn't get everything I wanted.
I won't argue that many men are arrogant asses and think they are untouchable and that they have connections to make their lives better but to give a blanket assignment of "male privilege" is just plain wrong.
I worked hard to get what I have in life, nothing has ever been handed to me, especially in the military. Even with hard work you sometimes don't get the advancement or assignment you want but that's how the ball rolls and you deal with it and work harder to get what you want. You don't sit around waiting on someone to give you something or give you a pass just because your a man.
I do understand that this alleged "male privilege" is dealing with sexual and other types of assaults against women. It is never right to force yourself on someone in any fashion but in my opinion that does not equate to privilege, it equates to immaturity, ignorance and a lack of respect.Response by PO1 Glenn Boucher made Oct 10 at 2015 12:22 PM2015-10-10T12:22:11-04:002015-10-10T12:22:11-04:00PO1 John Miller1036585

I'm a Conservative white male so apparently I oppress EVERYONE.Response by PO1 John Miller made Oct 13 at 2015 3:21 AM2015-10-13T03:21:18-04:002015-10-13T03:21:18-04:002015-10-09T19:53:26-04:00
