U.S. Citizenship by birthright; what is your opinion/view on this portion of our Republic?

My opinion/view is that it is actually beyond awesome and will only continue to improve.

We have birthright citizenship through two legal principals, Jus Soli (law of the land) and Jus Sanguinis (law of the blood), with both having equal weight. The only other form of citizenship is naturalization, which must be applied for.

Whether one agrees or disagrees with the two forms of birthright citizenship is irrelevant as both are constitutional and have been since the beginning of our republic.

Jus Sanguinis is why Birtherism was nothing more than thinly-veiled racism, just as current right-wing attacks on Jus Soli are.

Personally, I am very glad that we recognize both.

Must be born of us citizen, or of parents with legal residents. No border jumpers or tourists (Chinese) should be considered US citizens.

This is not even an issue, it is settled law per amendment to the US constitution .
