Trying to research and pick 5 duty stations for my wishlist. What would be a good first duty station as a 12B? Which should I avoid?

Go Airborne. There's a rough terrain unit in Bragg for engineers, the only one of its kind in the world

For learning the MOS, 11th ACR, Ft Irwin CA. You do your job all year long in two week increments.

Simone Favor - FT Irwin has been built up A LOT since I was there from '97-00. Each base is what you make it. There are a ton of newer amenities on that base. PLUS...Vegas, Las Vegas, LA, San Diego are just a couple of hours drive away. PLus, if you go there, being assigned to the 58th CEC is an outstanding assignment. LOTS of unit pride.
