The kicker that it was designed that way to put more jumpers in the air without sky sharking each other. You fall slower which makes for a nicer landing. But there to seem to be more malfunctions, it's a mix between iperstor error and chute malfunction. All in all, if you do what you were t rained to do, you should live and have a good jump with it. See you on the DZ. It oscillates less and the impact is softer. But it's twice as heavy and when jumping combat equipment you're humping 80-100 pounds to the turn in point. Its the opposite of the T10. Not forgiving upon exit but forgiving for the landing. Slipping with it is pretty much non-existent but when your intent is to get to the ground and avoid fellow jumpers , a one riser slip will work after a few seconds. Wear it close otherwise you'll have a fun jump. They'll train you up at BAR, but controlling the t-11 is a lot harder. From my understanding they changed the method of the mechanism that activates the deployment sleeve so the major thing you would notice is the rigging of your main harness and the weight of the parachute when they issue it to you. From the t-10 to the t-11 was not bad. It is heavier but the landing is better. The biggest issue I see with them is the experience level with those using it. To slip away takes a few secs. It is not as reactive as the t-11. By the time some novice jumpers try to slip away it is too late and a mid-air collision happens. I have seen two recently. One was with the MC-6 and the other was with the t-11. As you can figure out there is no reason that you should do that with an MC-6. If you were to mass tac with an t-11 you should be cautious . Most of my jumps have been T-10D with about three of them being T-11. The T-11 had the smooth landing for me, but on the downside there has been several severe mishaps with the chute.
