The kicker that it was designed that way to put more jumpers in the air without sky sharking each other. You fall slower which makes for a nicer landing. But there to seem to be more malfunctions, it's a mix between iperstor error and chute malfunction. All in all, if you do what you were t rained to do, you should live and have a good jump with it. See you on the DZ.Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 21 at 2016 9:00 PM2016-06-21T21:00:34-04:002016-06-21T21:00:34-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member1652268<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I like it more than the T10. It oscillates less and the impact is softer. But it's twice as heavy and when jumping combat equipment you're humping 80-100 pounds to the turn in point.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 21 at 2016 9:01 PM2016-06-21T21:01:39-04:002016-06-21T21:01:39-04:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member1652353<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Its not a bad parachute. Its the opposite of the T10. Not forgiving upon exit but forgiving for the landing. Slipping with it is pretty much non-existent but when your intent is to get to the ground and avoid fellow jumpers , a one riser slip will work after a few seconds. Wear it close otherwise you'll have a fun jump.Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 21 at 2016 9:39 PM2016-06-21T21:39:29-04:002016-06-21T21:39:29-04:00MAJ Javier Rivera1652372<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Jumped the MC-6 but not the T-11. They'll train you up at BAR, but controlling the t-11 is a lot harder. From my understanding they changed the method of the mechanism that activates the deployment sleeve so the major thing you would notice is the rigging of your main harness and the weight of the parachute when they issue it to you.Response by SPC Troy Garcia made Jun 21 at 2016 10:14 PM2016-06-21T22:14:48-04:002016-06-21T22:14:48-04:00CPT Private RallyPoint Member1653636<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I have jumped a few different chutes. From the t-10 to the t-11 was not bad. It is heavier but the landing is better. The biggest issue I see with them is the experience level with those using it. To slip away takes a few secs. It is not as reactive as the t-11. By the time some novice jumpers try to slip away it is too late and a mid-air collision happens. I have seen two recently. One was with the MC-6 and the other was with the t-11. As you can figure out there is no reason that you should do that with an MC-6. If you were to mass tac with an t-11 you should be cautious .Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 22 at 2016 10:10 AM2016-06-22T10:10:19-04:002016-06-22T10:10:19-04:00LTC Private RallyPoint Member1654207<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Step 1 be able to pass current airborne physical and get it completed. <br />2 be physically able to pass make 20 year old standard for APFT<br />3 apply and transfer to an airborne unit<br />4 find a jump master and start retraining your PLF and other skills<br />5 airborne refresher morning of jump<br />6 get airborne and fall out of damn plane <br />7 good PLF or not your airborne again<br /><br />PS. Most of my jumps have been T-10D with about three of them being T-11. The T-11 had the smooth landing for me, but on the downside there has been several severe mishaps with the chute. Whether it be jumper error or chute error I would much prefer the T-10D at the end of the day. And if that's not the case, you'll be fine, Airborne!
