Transferring to IRR? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/transferring-to-irr <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>14 years active duty and transferred to the reserves in Texas. I now live in Florida, for family and financial reasons, and it has been a huge pain transferring to a unit here. The unit states that my situation is not an excusable reason to not drill. I’m honestly not in a position where I feel I could regularly drill even if I’m in a closer unit. When I re-enlisted into the reserves it was for 6 years and currently have served a little over a year, would I be able to go IRR either until my situation is no longer an issue and if so how should I approach it?
