Touchy subject! If Martial Law was enacted where would you fall morally?

SSG Private RallyPoint Member, as a Veteran that is truly a touchy subject. I think that it would depend on the circumstances. Martial Law does not necessarily mean breaking down every door in the neighborhood looking for nothing. The circumstances would have to be extreme for me to actively resist once Martial Law had been established.

I would not obey illegal commands, but would carry out legal commands. The Constitution is the highest law and enumerates the legal powers of the government.

If Martial Law was enacted, and Service-members were brainwashed into thinking their evil orders were morally right- I'd have to shoot me up some Service members. Most are under-trained, especially with Ambush tactics, so it should be fairly easy if I use guerrilla tactics..

Hope everyone knew where i was coming from with this, and don't take it the wrong way

I like to think most in green and blue will look out for the citizens and the Constitution they swore to. I figure we are a portion of the population more apt to care about honorable action and the spirit of sacrifice for our nation. Not obeying illegal orders can be a true sacrifice, as truth is treason in an empire of lies. We must remain loyal to the Constitution and the liberty of the American people, at all costs. I believe that is our duty, as we are a kind of fail safe. The machine can't obliterate and oppress if the cogs decide that's a definite no-go. Semper Fi!
