SGT Shantese McBride 4386641 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I have completed my first initial 8 year contract will the army but the last four years was in IRR and the first four was Active Duty and I got out as a specialist I’m currently working with a recruiter to get back in but I can’t find my original promotion orders for specialist and he tells that is what I need if I want to enlist the only thing I can find with the date of when I got promoted is my ERB I’m wondering could I use that or will I have to take reduction in rank to PFC just to go back Active Duty? To rejoin the military as prior service, how can I document my promotion to SPC if I don't have my original promotion orders? 2019-02-21T00:35:45-05:00 SGT Shantese McBride 4386641 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I have completed my first initial 8 year contract will the army but the last four years was in IRR and the first four was Active Duty and I got out as a specialist I’m currently working with a recruiter to get back in but I can’t find my original promotion orders for specialist and he tells that is what I need if I want to enlist the only thing I can find with the date of when I got promoted is my ERB I’m wondering could I use that or will I have to take reduction in rank to PFC just to go back Active Duty? When you were discharged, it should have your rank on your DD214. If it is on your 214, there shouldn’t be a need for promotion orders. I hope this helps, good luck to you.
