To my 89 series people, when did this become the standard for ammo? 6+hrs exposed overnight by our Section chief?

Walked into my ATHP this morning to relieve the night crew, found this &25mm just sitting out on wooden pallets. Besides the obvious of clean it up what can I do about this?

I would take a snapshot picture and report to the QASAS for negligence on the night crew!!!

Since the ammunition was set out the way it was and you had to verify counts, please get QASAS out on scene. They will ensure it is still good fot repackaging and will re-seal your cans. I am sure you and your leadership are aware, but bring it up just in case no one takes action.

Or confront your night shift crew to police up after themselves.

Immediately bring in the troop you relieved. Ask when this shit was brought to us and by whom. Then request paperwork on tbe dropping unit, the soldier that dropped. Then, unless it was dropped off 5 mins before you arrived I want to know why it hasn't been catagorized. Then photograph it and addres the NCOIC. Explain that bc of the nature of what we handle this can not be over looked. Photo, categorize, then bring all to your Platoon Sgt. Explain and return. Set up a training session on what the proper action is upon recieving it. Real world training.

Before getting your knickers in a knot or uploading anything to the internet. Photograph it as you’ve done and go up the CoC. In the shift hand over someone’s probably already tracking. If not that in itself would be an another issue that your nco’s would need to grip up. Day vs night shift always experience issues when not managed effectively. In the event there’s not a reasonable explanation or an nco to do so issue an ass chewing, retrain, assign the troop the added responsibility of policing this within the group, and running a class on the right way to educate their peers, and put them on your shit list for taskings. I’m always looking for ways to develop my guys sometimes forcing someone to step up works better than burning them. so when possible I prefer discipline mixed w training and added responsibility. if this ammunition originated from another unit then yes it would be advisable for qasa to inspect and repack as well as liaising with said unit.
