Timeframe to complete blc??

If you was promoted to SGT before wlc/blc was required first How Long do you have and can you be demoted due to not conpleting blc and a set time frame i’ve researched this and still cant find any regulation stating my situation

I've heard the general consensus being you have to have it within a year after your promotion, however that's he said she said. Someone should chime in on exact timeframes. Yes you can be demoted if you fail to go within the timeframe

I believe you have 1 year from promotion date to complete NCOES. That includes NCOES that has multiple phases

You can be promoted prior to going. You must complete the school and pass within the first available class opportunity you have to go. There are waivers your command can put in on your behalf due to deployment, injury/profile recovery, pregnancy and maybe a few other circumstances, but, they will be listed in the governing AR. Been out a while! Check with your S3 Schools NCO/NCOIC ASAP. Because if they demote you, and you have been been paid as an E5/SGT, you will have to pay it back!

Does the date matter when i was promoted i feel like according to this i should retain my rank because i was promoted under previous pme requirements

Never heard of anything like demotion if you haven’t completed BLC (WLC).

It’s way too easy to get into a BLC slot. Lead by example SGT. Get your schooling done lead your subordinates in a successful path. Regs Attached.
