Thoughts on Restrepo/Korengal?

Just watched these two documentaries on Netflix the other night and was blown away by these guys stories.

Compared to all of the movies/documentaries about past wars, what did you all think of the way this documentary captured the ups and downs of their deployment?

Saw this film. It was a very good documentary. People need to see these films so they know what our sons and daughters are going through.

I had the privilege of having one of the Restrepo fellas come speak at a SNCO Professional Enhancement course a few months back. I won't point him out by name, but his story was extremely humbling.

Great documentaries; I wasn't there though, and cannot comment on their accuracy.

When they killed and ate that cow I wanted to jump through the screen and choke them. They didn't improve the situation when the villages showed up looking for compensation.

I had read the book before I watched the documentary. I thought Sebastian Junger did a great job. Not positive but didn't he get killed in the Middle East several years ago following another story?

I have a lot of thoughts especially since I was in that shit and it was a fucking nightmare. I tried to watch the whole documentary but I stopped watching it because of the hell we went through during that. Restrepo
