I'm sure the Native Americans weren't even thinking about a suicide bomber when they shared their food with the Pilgrims. Later on in their life, they had to worry about the white man raping, looting, and murdering them like they were dogs. They retaliated, killing many white people. Then later, they signed a treaty and were given land to live on called Indian Reservations. They really got the shaft from the white man after that. You can't compare life in the 17th century to the 21st century. Except for the occasional Indian attack, those Pilgrims, who later settled in New England, weren't concerned about much danger in their life. Now, in the 21st century, it's a dangerous world we live in. Today, some pilgrims coming to our shores, aren't curious about our way of life like the a pilgrims were then. Many of them hate the Americans and would like to see us suffer, like those Native Americans did after they accepted us, when we came to their shore.

As you prepare for your Thanksgiving Day feast, and the awkward conversations about politics sure to come with that one particular family member, it's worth keeping in mind that the U.S. has a long history of taking in refugees.

Some of the first pilgrims to settle on America's shores were Europeans who fled persecution in their home countries. When the Mayflower pilgrims landed in New England in the early 17th century, they established a harvest celebration that would later become known as Thanksgiving by sitting down with Native Americans gracious enough to share their land and way of life.

Yes, and you know Native Americans didn't fare too well for their hospitality. So far, while we put immigrants through hell, in a generation or two they become fully respected Americans who are happy to be here and love and protect the country. The immigrant Muslims of the 80s have also done so. The problem is there is a small group coming in now that don't want to become Americans, they want America to become something else.

Also remember that they ended up conquering and also wiping out the Native population when allowed here in large enough numbers....
