Does this town really need two M113s? Is that an efficient use of taxpayer funding to maintain and fuel them? Are they being used safely? Also kind of ironic that they were requested by protesters as part of a "Stop the Violence" event.

Only in America do protesters bring armored vehicles to a "Stop the Violence" protest. I remember when the administration was being accused of being evil for allowing law enforcement to have them in the first place... Damned if you do, damned if you don't... The government giveth, and the government taketh away. I live it all the time when they give me a hundred dollars, and takes back ninety-nine.
The operative question is why now? Why here? Worthy questions.
Now I would ask why a fairly small town in Alabama needs not one but two M-113s, but I digress.
