I was able to max out. Each course has credit hours you receive for completing. That is what is needed for points, the actual course credit hours.Response by SSgt Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 16 at 2016 7:23 PM2016-02-16T19:23:07-05:002016-02-16T19:23:07-05:00SSgt Private RallyPoint Member1307854<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You also need to have your ncoes completed to be considered for promotion, you'll receive residency credits for blc, alc, and slc. If I'm understanding your statement you are saying you can not max out your military education(not college, and not correspondence courses). You are referencing military course ie: Combat Lifesaver, HAZMAT, etc?Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 16 at 2016 8:22 PM2016-02-16T20:22:43-05:002016-02-16T20:22:43-05:00SGM Billy Herrington1308000<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I'm maxed out even under the new system. Under the old way the guard did it I was maxed out as a SSG. <br /><br />Go to everything. Any NET that's coming up for new equipment counts. if you get a 40 hr or whatever length the course is over 40 hrs, it adds up.Response by SGM Billy Herrington made Feb 16 at 2016 8:55 PM2016-02-16T20:55:00-05:002016-02-16T20:55:00-05:00SSG Melvin Nulph1308319<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Spc Pete Lopez, I just checked out the questions you have been asking and I have a grave concern. With that I'd like to ask you a question, "Are you wanting to be an NCO or an E-5"?<br /><br />Remember we all have to (had to) put in our time, learn and work harder than the others when we was a Spc/ Cpl to pin on the Sgt, SSG, ect. stripes/ rank. The fast way is not always the right way & nothing worth while is all that easy. Life doesn't get easier than you have it as the ranks of Pfc & Spc trust me, not if you are doing your job right. <br />Do not take that wrong, Myself and the other NCO's & Officers of the military past and present want nothing more than you to get what you earn. I'm looking forward to the day your rank moves up but I'd rather hear you're an NCO not an E-5 holding a slot. Can you understand what I'm saying?Response by SSG Melvin Nulph made Feb 16 at 2016 11:13 PM2016-02-16T23:13:59-05:002016-02-16T23:13:59-05:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member1309510<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Many Person believe that getting army education is easy... NO it is Not. Army Education (Residential is the Harder). This one need to be assigned to go, The unit need to pay for it (School NCO) and must of the times some of the school that we are assigned to don't give promotion point. Correspondences, Civilian, PT, Awards that is Simple... If you think is simple answer me this. Would you Send the Administration SPC to a Tactical Course? Or the Infantry Man to take PBUSE (Supply System) class? Will you lose your only Supply personal for 1 to 3 Weeks? If the Answer is no, there you have it. All Soldier Need Help with Military Education... and advice Asking Daily will get you to school...
