What are your thoughts about the United States pouring more money and resources into Iraq?

US Foreign Policy is an interesting animal. We have money going all over the place and to countries that I need a map to find out where it is located. With regards to Iraq, this is something that we should have as seen as on the horizon. Funding is one thing. Boots on the ground is another. The former is much better in my book than the latter.

It is a money pit, we are already in economical straights ourselves, and the president and Congress keep saying we have to cut the defense budget to include retiree/veteran benefits, but we will be sending money and aid to Iraq, I guess the military, retirees, dependents and all will have to suffer more cuts, because we don't want to reduce the money we are giving to illegals via benefits that most Americans can't get or afford.

Great question, but I think its too late for money to have an affect and the fight is already close to the gates of the green zone. If the Iraqi PM is fired and replaced and the Kurds will work with the Iraqi Army they have all they need to destroy ISIS forces in Iraq. I don't know if the will is there.

Obama's answer to everything, tax something and throw money at it. Money solves all problems. Sending 275 additional boots to protect the embassy is not going to help anything. If the Iraqi people can win this fight, I am all for it. However, the insurgents have been bombing them since we pulled out.

In my opinion, lets empty the embassy then level it and then wait for Obama to grow a pair to see what we do next. Perhaps he should contact Putin to see what he thinks. Without any REAL leadership from this administration, I do not see any scenario that will have a positive outcome.

Yes, throwing cash and other support at corrupt system will help them to fail even on Greater scale again.
