There are a number of ways in which the government (as a whole) needs to change/adapt/update itself to the specifically challenging world environment. Unfortunately, a lot of the structures/mindsets that currently exist are not able to keep pace, which in turn create less than desirable, and sometimes extremely dangerous, circumstances. No matter how you look at it, the only proven constant, over time, is change...which is exactly what most people are afraid of. But perhaps well informed and well outlined change can alleviate some of the stress that comes with it. IMHO. ;o)Response by Sgt Lee Ajaye made Jun 26 at 2015 6:07 AM2015-06-26T06:07:20-04:002015-06-26T06:07:20-04:00TSgt Joshua Copeland772087<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>To be fair, I doubt President Obama even knew SrA Ireland was invited.Response by TSgt Joshua Copeland made Jun 26 at 2015 10:12 AM2015-06-26T10:12:33-04:002015-06-26T10:12:33-04:00SSgt Charles Edwards772348<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Ok, I've got to ask this: what fresh hell is being created when we allow transgender service members into the ranks? More specifically, how does this change the landscape of BMT (which barracks are they assigned to?), how are barracks/dorm assignments made when such a service member reports to station and how does the rest of the military cope with this?<br /><br />I have no problem with someone who is homosexual. I don't think others in the military have a problem either. However, transgender is another issue altogether. I just don't believe the military in general is ready for that.Response by SSgt Charles Edwards made Jun 26 at 2015 11:29 AM2015-06-26T11:29:32-04:002015-06-26T11:29:32-04:00TSgt Private RallyPoint Member772872<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Slippery slope....I'm all for the right changes and enhancing our AF but this brings up so many questions that need to be nailed down. Which bathroom are they to use/when before hormones and surgery or after? Are their hormones supplements approved?? Can or are TG Amn allow to deploy while on their supplements?? Which PT Test do they take?? How does these issues effect readiness?? Which uniform do they wear/when is it authorized for them to wear the gender specific uniform they want to be?? <br />Maybe its me but is this what the AF really wants or society??Response by TSgt Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 26 at 2015 2:40 PM2015-06-26T14:40:27-04:002015-06-26T14:40:27-04:001stSgt Private RallyPoint Member773660<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I will reserve my comments until I am officially retired...counting down the days!Response by 1stSgt Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 26 at 2015 8:28 PM2015-06-26T20:28:22-04:002015-06-26T20:28:22-04:00MSgt Private RallyPoint Member773797<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>So technically (36-2903) isn't "she" out of uniform being a female wearing a male uniform?Response by MSgt Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 26 at 2015 9:56 PM2015-06-26T21:56:40-04:002015-06-26T21:56:40-04:00SSG Patricia King773850<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am proud of my service to this country and I am proud of who I am. Social media provides leaders with almost a real time assessment of the climate, vice anonymous climate surveys. This is good. We are seeing positive shifts, we are becoming more tolerant, more inclusive and less willing to put up with perceived wrong doing.
