SPC Michael Hollifield 764990 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I spent a LOT of time there from 88-91. 6 - 8 months out of each year. Long story. I'll spell it wrong, but palisades seems to come to mind after all these years. Supported 3 inf brigades (1 training there at all times) for 3 years. I'm really interested to know if it's still up and running. I'm just curious what happened to it after they closed planet Ord and moved it to Ft Lewis. The Liggitt still up and running? 2015-06-23T14:21:55-04:00 SPC Michael Hollifield 764990 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I spent a LOT of time there from 88-91. 6 - 8 months out of each year. Hunter Liggett is one largest in geographic-area Joint Military Bases on the West Coast of Central California, providing Active, Guard &amp; Reserve Training Opportunities year-round. The Ft. Hunter Liggett &amp; Camp Roberts also service as deployment training &amp; certification centers, providing mission-critical and valuable Unit to Command Level Training specific to theater operations.<br />Ft. Hunter Liggett is also home to a California Mission, founded in 1776 by the Spanish and is still an active Catholic Parish Community. Ft. Hunter Liggett was also part of the original Hurst Ranch used by the family for raising cattle and hunting prior to being turned into a Military Reservation.
