Personally I prefer RP to FB and I know others who feel the same. I expect it to grow exponentially over the next three years. I will buy stock if they go public!

I think it will continue to grow as it fills a niche that did not currently exist.

I think the sky's the limit, SGT Private RallyPoint Member. I expect continued growth as the word spreads. I heard about the site from a colleague, in kind of a sideways manner. Word of mouth will undoubtedly spread like wild fire. The RallyPoint Team will probably be challenged to keep up with the growth. And that's a very good challenge to have to deal with.

I opted out of Facebook because of the proliferation of low value discussion. I think if we as users encourage each other positively, avoid low value topics & flame wars and stay engaged the RP team is going to do great things, I've heard a bit about the exciting plans to come in 2015. I think it's got great potential.

Facebook is filled solely with people that I physically know.

RP is a site of conversation on some relevant, and some non-relevant, military (mostly) related topics that fills a niche. I think it needs to not be shared on the internet-i.e. I should not see threads on the open internet CPT Aaron Kletzing (wish you could work on that sir). There is nothing that stops someone from copying and pasting, but...what you see here, what you say here, what you hear here, should stay here! Just my opinion...I would love to see the Facebook and twitter links eliminated.

RP will grow. I believe that combining all the branches will produce a lot of valuable information about programs and resources available. Professional Veterans understand the value and skill sets of other vets.

Never let a vet be homeless. Google HUDVASH they have realized that some vets need a home before they can get clean, sober, compliant with care, employed and stay out of jail. Many vets qualify under the NEW guidelines. I found the training PowerPoint online. No veteran should be homeless!

I think the folks at RP have done a great job of doing this. I think it is important to understand how innovation plays a role. I remember Friendster was one of the first social networking sites and quickly dissipated. So did Myspace.

I think as long as we anticipate what we can of the future, fulfill the needs of members, then RP will continue to succeed!

I have gained an immeasurable amount of experience simply by reading the posts of my Seniors, Peers and Subordinates on RallyPoint. I have different points of view, advice coming from all angles, and countless years of experience at the click of a mouse. I grow daily from reading posts on this website and implementing changes in my own leadership style that I would certainly not have by simply communicating with my platoon/unit leadership, peers and subordinates on a daily basis.

I think as long as everyone continues to share, and new members keep it professional and we continue to network and build relationships that RallyPoint could spread service-wide and become a commonplace for mentorship that's open throughout the ranks. Skys the limit.

I believe RallyPoint has the potential to grow, if the site becomes to strict or over dictated then I think it will drive people away. But, I hope that RallyPoint continues to grow. I really enjoy the conversations.

I expect RP to continue to grow, although a lot of people haven't come across it just yet. I love that I can ask questions that I typically wouldn't ask "my" CoC. The number of differing opinions are delightful.

Depends on how useful this social media site continues to be.
Sometimies I wonder about the plethora of questions asked that seem to be trite or maybe just ways for folks to gain points, not to mention some of the answers that seem only to be done in order to get the points from adding to a discussion.
If it becomes full of meaningless questions with meaningless answer threads, I won't bother reading through them all.

The most important thing I get from this site is the contacts, especially with my current unit, or with those I know across the military that I have known. Recently, RallyPoint has been fantastic as I prepare to PCS in connecting with those at my new duty station.

Technically RP promotes "Fraternization" being a UCMJ violation. All of us may agree to participate under a self-policing code however, Civilian Vet's and Retirees are the only participants with 'actual' freedom of expression rights. The Prisoner: "Bradley Manning" incident should have made this loud and clear. A valid question deserves truth, not opinion.

Wait until the first massive data collective "Hack Attack" on this *network, then ask this question again. It's never "IF" it's when. I can't say I'm 100% in favor of this much all-branch military data being an un-monitored dot com, but it's not my call.

If all bugs of the Android App get fixed, the "people you may know" gives you more specific and realistic options (like how a puerto rican PFC, that joined in Jan 2014 could possibly know an SFC that has served 15 years) and if the junior enlisted start to feel more like part of the network instead of just reading discussions and giving thumbs up or down, ABSOLUTELY it will grow.

Those were my 2 cents.

I have been recommending RallyPoint vigorously just as I would recommend a restaurant that I really enjoyed. I want to see it succeed. Why? The quality of discussions has eclipsed any others I have found in other blogs. It makes me proud to have served, to be a veteran, to associate with people of this caliber. (...okay, I had to stop and think about what I just typed. "Caliber" Yeah, I see the potential for a pun there but didn't intend it)

I'm here because it fills a place in my life. After over 22yrs of this military stuff, I still need the communication with those who understand. Things we talk about here, most on FB wouldn't understand. Glad I found my way here.
