I have several reasons for this position. First, we all don't speak the same language. Standardization would help to improve operations. Second, it would remove redundant such as personnel, medical, and materiel. This would increase efficiencies and allow for us to operate on smaller budgets. Now we would have to find a way to keep the best traditions of all the services in this idea. It would probably have to be mainly done at the unit/ship levels. I do not ever expect this to happen because people will resist changes to the status quo but I think that is the next logical step for our services.Response by SGT David T. made May 30 at 2015 9:51 PM2015-05-30T21:51:26-04:002015-05-30T21:51:26-04:00CPO Private RallyPoint Member709306<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I was in the coast guard... I recently deployed as a member of the 224JCSS ANG in Brunswick GA, a tenant unit of the 3d JCSE out of Tampa FL. <br />I worked alongside both an Army and a Marine, both with similar career fields as me, Cyber Systems Operations Support. They both were active duty and each had SKILLs in this career field. I am both impressed with the level of training each brought to the table and proud to be a member of the smartest military in the world. I would have no preference working with one branch over another. We all should be proud to work with such talented people when given the opportunity. <br />So for me, no service is better than the other, each brings a specific skill required to get the job done and an overlap between the branches should be a welcomed site for all of us as we are given the chance to see an entirely different perspective on how to get the job done.Response by SSgt Private RallyPoint Member made May 31 at 2015 12:50 AM2015-05-31T00:50:20-04:002015-05-31T00:50:20-04:00GySgt Wayne A. I have to be honest, there is sometimes a lack of discipline regarding Soldiers; especially if you are not in their chain of command or their unit. Now in the Marine Corps, they take discipline to another level. As a NCO if you see something wrong you can address the action and a Marine would say, "Aye, Aye," and would immediately adhere to the corrective action. So I would say Marines have the discipline down, however I do not believe family life is not very important to them-Mission Accomplishment is the objective. The Army believes in Family and Family is a huge deal in the Army, Mission Accomplishment is also important but the Army also cares about a Soldier's family. All in All I would have to say based on the support for families I would have to give the Army a leg up from the Marine Corps.Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made May 31 at 2015 10:40 AM2015-05-31T10:40:39-04:002015-05-31T10:40:39-04:00Sgt Donald Vaile710300<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Might have the most moneyResponse by Sgt Donald Vaile made May 31 at 2015 1:59 PM2015-05-31T13:59:31-04:002015-05-31T13:59:31-04:00SFC Kenneth Hunnell710326<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am glad that they think that wayResponse by SFC Kenneth Hunnell made May 31 at 2015 2:12 PM2015-05-31T14:12:35-04:002015-05-31T14:12:35-04:002015-05-30T21:39:49-04:00
