Shotguns the rounds can be adapted to your situation. I.E. starting fire small or large game and loud to be found also in weather situation gone wrong it is tje only one to be able to withstand the punishment but also be affective.

Shotgun. Familiarity and versatility. Personally been shooting skeet and duck hunting my whole life so it would be easier to pick up and go for me. So many different shells you can put through it as well, hunt anything from dove to duck to rabbits to deer. Super easy to maintain as well
