Temporary 100% disability pay while admitted in residential PTSD programs.

I just wanted to mention that veterans who are admitted into RESIDENTIAL PTSD programs will receive the full 100% disability rating while they are in the program. Please seek help if you are advised that you will benefit from a residential program. Many veterans think that they will be financially ruined to lose that much work, that is not the case. When you are discharged from the program, they will submit ALL the paperwork on your behalf. It can take anywhere from 3 weeks to 2 months, but you will receive a lump sum payment. If you have any questions, post them here for the benefit of the group.

Just for edification - there are many incidents where someone can listed as 100% disabled for a temporary time. There are specifics to each situation, but most are temporary.

I think this has changed and maybe for all programs. Residential program brochure for Cincinnati PTSD program states "The PTSD program is not affiliated with the C&P dept" and "it is expected that improvement in symptoms of PTSD is your main goal for attendance." So I don't know if they're still doing temp 100% or if our cheapo government has cut that out.
