Syrian Refugees: Why are Leaders On Both The Left And Right Failing Us?

I'm pretty sure that we have beat this subject up on RallyPoint to no end, but let's look at it from a Leadership standpoint.

Sadly, though, both liberal and conservative leaders continue to fail to provide meaningful answers for our insecure and uncertain time.

Interesting article. While I disagree with some points, I do agree that we have yet to look for a consensus middle ground, and the Muslims living in America seem unwilling to condem the terrorists actions.

I do not believe we should avoid taking prudent action that might alienate some, as the majority of the world we live in could not care less about our politically correct tendencies.

Perhaps it will take the wisdom of Solomon to conceive a bold middle way that allows us to be honest, realistic, fair and compassionate all at the same time. Until then, the first duty of a Nation is to protect herself and her citizens, -- compassion for others is essential, but must be done in a fashion which supports domestic tranquility.

Ok so I have first hand experience with these refugees in Germany. First I beat 7 of them off a girl in Munich they were attempting to rape, then I helped fight them back from a ferry boat they were trying to take over at Tegernsee. The ferry captain had a swarm of them trying to overtake his boat so a buddy and I stepped in to hold them back so he could escape.

That same buddy fought several refugees in Barcelona after seeing them drop powder in girls' drinks. He also reported a refugee stowaway on his train to Amsterdam that had a weapon and put up a fight.

I witnessed these refugees sitting on benches in Germany with a "woe is me" look on their faces and when blonde girls in short skirts walked by their hands went up to touch their butts. It was really disgusting. I saw 72% were males. They left the women and children behind.

I don't care about politics. However, I've witnessed enough of them acting as human filth. Their culture does not translate into ours or western civilization. Nor do they wish to assimilate the host culture. They clearly have no respect for women especially blondes. My daughter deserves better than the offering of safe harbor of these cowards. Again the majority of them are males that fled instead of fought.

If it puts it into perspective for anyone, we didn't come to the Americas and become native Indians. The same thing is happening, and that's the plan pledged by the majority of these refugees -to come to new territory and out breed the local population. This is a hard concept for contemporary America because people think of instant gratification and tactics but not strategy. A rather shortsighted flaw in the COE.

COL Mikel J. Burroughs the author makes strawmen out of those on the right and left and then tear down the strawmen.
His argument is simplistic:
Human beings—especially when they band together in tribes—can be nasty, vengeful and dangerous.
"The approach of the political right is to try to scare the bejeezus out of rival tribes, clinging to two myths:
If you hit the other side hard enough, they’ll stop hitting you.
If they’re still hitting you, it’s only because you’re not hitting them hard enough.
Liberals tend to have their own myth, namely that people are basically decent, and that hugging the other side will result in peace faster than bombing them will. In the process, they can enable violence in somewhat the same way that a well-meaning person rationalizes a spouse’s or partner’s violent alcoholism."
His argument is based on the assumption that we are all part of tribes.
syrian refugees need to be kept a close to their homeland a possible so that those who want to return could more readily do so than if they were sent 1/3 of the way around the world to our nation.
I am all for expanding the number of asylum refugees we will accept.
Generally refugees in large numbers will bring trouble because of their own fears and insecurity. Those who have ought or ood, etc will most likely continue to behave as though they need to continue combative behavior to get what they need.

Viewed through that lens, the current political speak makes mountains of sense. We are talking about taking in refugees instead of the catastrophe of foreign policy blunders that got us to this point.
Just the way he wants it.
