Subject health care- we are all up in arms, but is it time we send a message our politicians they will get the same health coverage as we do?

I say yes. The ACA isn't the best solution and is definitely controversial in regards to the Constitution. In the meantime, everyone should be on a nearly level playing field. Equal opportunity and all men are created equal is pretty black and white on what our Founding Fathers put into our documents and laws. Should the ACA fail altogether, which would be a disaster, no matter your stance on the subject, the question would remain, should the federal government have their hand in this, make it a state level issue, or privatize it all and let capitalism prevail?

McCain is entitled to VA healthcare, but chooses to purchase his own. Congress is subject to the same laws under the ACA as everyone else albeit they probably purchase platinum plans under an exchange.

Public Law 111 – 148, section 1312: "... the only health plans that the Federal Government may make available to Members of Congress and congressional staff with respect to their service as a Member of Congress or congressional staff shall be health plans that are (I) created under this Act (or an amendment made by this Act); or (II) offered through an Exchange established under this Act (or an amendment made by this Act)."

Single Payer is the only workable solution. simply lower the eligibility for Medicare. Any "solution" which includes the Insurance companies sends hundreds of billions to Administrative expenses like salaries. Some CEOs have salaries in the billions of dollars

Remember those who rule, make the rules..........power corrupts absolutely, while absolute power is corruption!! Senator McCain has lived a privileged life for longer than most of us have been alive. Members of the Senate do as they please and no one will call them out, not even the voters and therein lays the problem.
