I've asked a lot of people. I just want tips and opinions from a lot of people. If you have anything, I'd be happy to use it. Tue, 22 Sep 2015 05:21:39 -0400 Striving to be a Ranger. Are there any MARSOC/Force RECON types near you that may allow you to PT with them and provide you some PT pointers on what it takes to be a part of the SOF community?

Also - I would be mentally prepare myself for the moment if your DD 368 (conditional release) request gets denied, which in this case, I would imagine it would. So, be careful when you ruck. Regimental standard is 4mph pace with 35lb ruck plus water, FLC, and rifle . Be able to run 5 miles in 40 minutes after running a mile and a half to get to the run. Be able to max the APFT plus at least 6 pull-ups after running half a mile to the test and doing some pushups and flutter kicks before that. Stew Smith has good material. After you've gone to all the trouble to switch services and get your contract, don't screw it up by doing something stupid. A lot of guys get dropped for bad decisions who could otherwise have graduated. SPC Elijah J. Henry, MBA Tue, 22 Sep 2015 14:12:47 -0400 2015-09-22T14:12:47-04:00 2015-09-22T05:21:39-04:00
