How does stress impact you? I know there is different types of stress such as losing sleep stress and others make you run fast on your PT test. What does stress do to you: stop you or drive you?

Usually it drives me, LTC (Join to see). Like when I have to get a job done and I'm up against a deadline. That's motivating stress.
Then, though, there's depressing stress that makes me want to go to sleep. Or, if I'm waking up to a stressful (usually weekend) day, just the thought of the stress that's coming can make me want to roll right over and just go back to sleep.
Normally when the stress is work related, it motivates me.

CW5 Scott Montgomery, I don't know anymore. I am still trying to figure that out. I have been living on full throttle since April 2003 that I am up and down. I do suffer with depression and PTS 30% service connected though. I know what it is supposed to do but kind of thinking it can be ignored.

I've always thought that if I wasn't feeling any stress at all, then I've become too complacent. If under too much stress for too long, then I need to rebalance what I am trying to accomplish (easier said then done).
In short, stress is neither a driver not a stopper for me, it's just a reflection of hard I am pushing myself. No stress means I am not pushing myself nearly enough.
