In my opinion the speech should stay, but undergo changes. <br /><br />I would like to see the president give the speech from his desk at the oval office or perhaps from a podium in the rose garden or the &quot;we got bin laden&quot; hallway.<br /><br />I would like no audience. We don&#39;t need republican or democrat members of congress bringing in guests that make statements. We don&#39;t need endless pauses for applause. We don&#39;t need partisan yawns. It has turned into a highly stylized Kabuki performance.
