So make sure you sharpen your skills in being able to see what the whole picture is in the companies you interview with and when hired, what makes that company good and bad. Your value will be in being able to improve the company and it's bottom line. Don't forget people have about 90% to do with it so book learning isn't much when it comes to people skills. Taking care of your people and making the bosses a success is the same as it was on the Mil side. As I became more senior on the mil/civ side, the technical knowledge was a distant third to people and experience aka knowing what will work in a given situation vs. guessing or doing something political. Competition will be stiff so you need to make yourself marketable by bringing extra skill sets and Certifications with you. One thing I would really recommend it that you get or at least start on your certification for Project Management. That will be integral to leading any projects for most corporations. Later you can also obtain your program Management cert for leading multi project programs. Good luck to you in your studies, St. Leo has a good program and is now accredited by the ASCBP as well as IACBP.
