Hello RP,
My wife has been asked to start an FRG group for the detachment I am currently in for our upcoming deployment. We've never really been associated with FRGs in the past because past units didn't put an emphasis on it. Anyway, my Commander asked if we were interested and we told him yes. However, we don't have much to go on so I am coming here looking for suggestions. Please keep in mind that I am in the National Guard and not on a base so that makes it a bit different than an active duty post. Also, this will be for a detachment of 30ish soldiers and not the main body.
I suppose a few things we are interested in, especially from those in the National Guard, is the following:
What did you do for fundraising events?
What type of events did you hold for the familes?
How did you deal with money made in funding raiding? In other words, how did you keep it transparent so there was no accusations of wrong doing.
Just a few questions we are interested in and look forward to replies.
