What I need clarification on is: do we leave the space blank?

I heard that there will be a random 9-digit number assigned to soldiers instead. Will this be auto-filled by the EES (Electronic Evaluation System)? If it is generated during our first evaluation under the new system, I assume that number will become a permanent identifier to be used again and again.

Will that number be used for other applications in place of the SSN, where appropriate? SSN No longer used on evaluations. How will the random DOD 9-digit number be assigned? 2015-12-13T02:10:35-05:00 1SG Private RallyPoint Member 1171652

In my education about the revised NCOERs, I learned that SSNs will no longer be used or is optional. You will input SSN number and select verify andit will then convert to the DOD number.
