SSD,How will the phaseing out work?

So SSD is being replaced with DLC. How will it work? how does the grandfathering in if you are working on an SSD? When if the effective date that SSD will no longer be assigned? If im currently working on an SSD will I have to start over on DLC?

While I haven't seen the written guidelines, it will almost certainly be that SSD is credited.
It would be burdensome to attempt to have every single person in the Army take DLC all at once. These systems are run by people and there is a finite number of people and server bandwidth and space.
Then the second and third order effects would be that promotion boards and NCOES would come to a halt temporarily. E4 and E5 in their Primary Zone would automatically receive an 8K code HQDA bar. E6-E8 would have to finish it prior to the next promotion board to be eligible. Deployed Soldiers would be affected even worse because they are often in locations with poor connectivity.
The whole thing would be a catastrophic mess.

Our unit shot out an email with a list of everyone who had SSD partially completed. They told us if you were partially finished, you would have to start over with DLC.
