Guaranteed slot. (If you graduate DLI, you become a 35P. If you don’t, you reclass, probably to 35N).<br />Do you want to be a linguist, or do you want a 35 series, with the option of going to DLI later?Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 28 at 2018 10:22 AM2018-07-28T10:22:45-04:002018-07-28T10:22:45-04:00SSgt GG-15 RET Jim Lint3832777<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You can volunteer for anything. If the Army has needs, you get lucky. I volunteered to be a millionaire....the Army did not have a need for that, so I did not get it. You will have to score high enough on the DLAB to be considered for either. 35W will transfer to 35P after you graduate your language training and 35M is Human Intelligence Collector which has the new requirement of being proficient in a language as well for new recruits.Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 28 at 2018 11:14 AM2018-07-28T11:14:35-04:002018-07-28T11:14:35-04:00SSG Lyle O'Rorke3833433<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>35N can go to DLI. I was a Plt SGT there at C Co from 2007-2009. But since the MOS is not language dependent dont look at getting restarted or rolled back if you start failing. Put in the 4187 and request the DLAB. If you score high enough request a class.Response by SSG Lyle O'Rorke made Jul 28 at 2018 2:50 PM2018-07-28T14:50:23-04:002018-07-28T14:50:23-04:00PFC Private RallyPoint Member3966922<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You can apply for anything you want to, If your platoon sergeant sees that your scores are high they will be more likely to send youResponse by PFC Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 15 at 2018 4:50 PM2018-09-15T16:50:52-04:002018-09-15T16:50:52-04:002018-07-28T06:51:20-04:00
