If the Air Force isn't willing or able to help, what do you think is the best route for a non-military person to get justice from a system that seems like a "boys club" that covers it's own ass first? Go up the chain? Congressional Inquiry? As a Commander, what steps would you take if CPT Carnovale were under your Command?

So I ran across this blog post today, and it got me to wondering: Are we policing ourselves or are we "protecting" our own?2015-07-16T01:03:48-04:00MAJ Bryan Zeski818592

http://nickcarnovale.com

I don't know CPT Carnovale, and I don't know the poster - but it was referred to me by a friend who is not military and who sees this as a desperation move by the woman when the Air Force hasn't been able/willing to help enforce Military Standards on a servicemember. The guy is a real scumbag if only for the way he treated the mother and the child. I had a child that died in Philadelphia due to being a preemie and I would have given my life for David. To me. that man should be found and punished, but not so he cannot pay every dime due to the mother. I am sickened and appalled.Response by SSgt Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 16 at 2015 8:16 AM2015-07-16T08:16:17-04:002015-07-16T08:16:17-04:001SG Private RallyPoint Member819164

This guy is a complete dirt bag. You have to wonder at the wisdom of hooking up on craigslist, but what is done is done.
This man owes his daughter support, if nothing else. The mother needs to tread carefully. Going after him for the criminal matters will result in him losing his career (rightly so) but by extension the very money she would be counting on.

I have to say that I am particularly proud of LTC Sounia and his unit for his assistance in deducing who this joker was. He definitely went the extra mile. If I run across him in my travels, I will buy him a beverage of his choice.
As for CPT Carnovale, he needs to do the right thing before this escalates beyond control. He is in danger of being in big trouble. He had one thing right. The Air Force will take a very hard look at his clearance if this comes to light.Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 16 at 2015 9:48 AM2015-07-16T09:48:59-04:002015-07-16T09:48:59-04:00Capt Seid Waddell819756

I didn't realize that the article went on as far as it did. Upon reading the entire article it would appear that CPT Carnovale needs to be arrested and charged with fraud and faking a state ID. The fellow that took the test needs to be arrested as well for his part in the fraud.

CPT Carnovale should lose his clearance and be given a dishonorable discharge - for his continuing to prey upon women on Craig’s List as well as for the crimes he has committed in trying to evade his responsibilities.

If it were up to me he would do time in the stockade as well.Response by Capt Seid Waddell made Jul 16 at 2015 12:50 PM2015-07-16T12:50:46-04:002015-07-16T12:50:46-04:002015-07-16T01:03:48-04:00
