One morning I woke up and got ready jumped into my car didn't feel my phone on my belt or in my pocket. Decided to pull back into the parking spot when I heard a crunch sound. Needless to say, explaining to the boss that you, the IT / mobile device guy, just ran over your phone and now need it replaced....not a good way to start your morning. When I woke up, I quickly got dressed, gabbed my hat, and ran out of my barracks room. It wasn't until I stepped outside with the whole formation, Platoon Sergeant and 1st Sergeant staring at me that I realized I was wearing my straw Stetson cowboy hat. IT WAS A BAD MORNING!! BUT, ONE HELL OF A NIGHT! And then there's the putting the cereal in the fridge and milk in the cupboard... Leaving the house without my wallet and not realizing it until I got to where I was going... Putting clothes on inside out... Leaving for drill and realizing that, after focusing so much on coffee, I forgot to shave... There I was, on the foc'sle in a Force 40 gale when the CO called for a coffee break. The yeaman brought out the coffee using the silver tea set - always a good sign. Suddenly, there was a huge 60 ft wave crash across the deck causing total chaos. Fortunately the yeaman was nimble and maintained control. The yeaman finally gets to me and my cup....I can smell it from here. OH NO! Another wave crashes across the deck and the yeaman misses my cup completely..... I watched the coffee float off into the sunset as I cried like a baby.....
